Who is this class for?
This class is for total beginners, no experience is needed. Just the eagerness to learn!
What will you learn?
In this class you will learn the basics of sewing including; how to use an industrial sewing machine, industrial overlocker, cut fabric and complete basic sewing tasks/alterations. We conclude the class by making a tote bag you can take home with you!
What do you need to bring?
All fabrics and equipment will be supplied by Morgan & Fenwick. We suggest bringing a notebook and a pen to make notes during your class.

Who is this class for?
This class is for students who have completed the introduction course or people who have already got basic sewing knowledge.
What will you learn?
In this class you will develop the skills you have already learnt at home or in the introduction class. You will learn how to draft a simple garment for yourself, cut make and finish it to a high standard.
What do you need to bring?
All equipment and fabrics for samples will be supplied by Morgan & Fenwick, by week 3 you will need to bring fabric of your choice to use to make your garment. We always suggest bringing a notebook and a pen to make notes during your class.

Private sewing lessons

If you have something specific in mind you would like help with or just prefer 1-1 tutoring, you can book private lessons with our tailors.
What will you learn?
Anything you like! Please let us know in your email what you would like to learn/ work on. This private lesson is based around your needs so you set the pace.
What do you need to bring?

'hot desk' a sewing machine
Available Monday to Saturday 9am till 5pm
£10 per hour
Who is this for?
If your a university student who needs some extra space, a self taught sewer with not enough room at home or would like to continue working on the skills you've learnt in class why not pop back in and rent one of our machines by the hour.
What will you learn?
This is a self run session, our tailors will be nearby to supervise and give a hand with any technical issues.
What do you need to bring?
By renting a sewing machine space you will also have access to all the equipment here at Morgan & Fenwick.
